PEACE BEGINS IN OUR COMMUNITIES
Observed annually on 21 September, the International Day of Peace calls on people and nations everywhere to strengthen the ideals of peace through 24 hours of non-violence and ceasefire.
For Rotary, peace is more than the absence of conflict—it is something we actively build. Rotary invests in peace education and capacity-building, develops strategic relationships and integrates peacebuilding throughout its programmes and service.
Through service projects, peace fellowships and scholarships, Rotary members help address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, discrimination, ethnic tension, limited access to education and the unequal distribution of resources.
Across Rotary District 7030, let us choose dialogue over division, understanding over prejudice and collaboration over conflict. Every action that strengthens inclusion, expands opportunity and brings people together helps create a more peaceful world.
